“Daniel Vandever is a Diné author from Haystack, New Mexico. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and his Master’s in Community and Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico. Vandever worked ten years at Navajo Technical University where he led the university’s marketing and communication efforts, chaired the university’s Enrollment Management Committee, and advised leadership on the President’s Cabinet and Provost’s Council. ¿His debut picture book, Fall in Line, Holden!, was awarded the Honor Award with the American Indian Library Association. Dr. Abhishek RoyChowdhury is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at Navajo Technical University. His fields of expertise are environmental geoscience (environmental clean-up) and sustainable energy production. He earned his PhD in Environmental Management from Montclair State University. Dr. Perry R. James is of full-bodied descent from four original clans (Táb¿¿hí, Táchii’nii, Áshiihí, and Táneszahnii), traditionalist and fluent speaker of the Nihok’aa Diyin Dine’é (Navajo) tribe from Continental Divide, New Mexico. He is an Assistant Professor of Bilingual Education – Navajo at Western New Mexico University. His work as a hunter, leader, trail-runner, warrior (U.S. Army Veteran Paratrooper), cultural relations specialist, educator, researcher, and writer is familiar with Nihok’aa Diyin Dine’é ways of knowing in a Place-based and Worldview context. This familiarity with Place-based and Worldview context creates a sense of sacred place, story/songs, ceremony, history, ecological sustainability, and philosophy essential to the survival of the Nihok’aa Diyin Dine’é. Corey Begay is a Navajo artist and graphic designer from Cedar Springs, Arizona.
