Non-Cash Gifts

Ways to Give Non-Cash Gifts

Securities

You can donate to NMPBS appreciated securities, including mutual funds, that may provide an immediate tax deduction and savings on capital gains taxes.

NMPBS operates under the UNM Foundation 501(c)3 tax status and utilizes the foundation’s Broker to Broker procedure after which your gift is transferred—in full—to NMPBS.

Please contact us for more information.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

Directing your 401K’s qualified charitable distribution to NMPBS will help pay for programs and program services at NMPBS and give you a tax benefit. Contact your IRA administrator or go to your IRA manager’s website to donate.

You can also make recurring gifts from your IRA and/or name NMPBS as the beneficiary of your 401K at your passing, benefitting future viewers of NMPBS with your generous gift!

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

Making a grant recommendation from your donor advised fund is a great way to make a gift to NMPBS and receive a tax benefit. Please contact your fund administrator or go to your fund-holder’s website to donate.

You can also make recurring gifts from your DAF and/or name NMPBS as the beneficiary of your DAF at your passing, benefitting future viewers of NMPBS with your generous gift!

Real Estate and Other Special Gifts

Giving a gift of tangible property can provide you with a tax deduction and support for NMPBS, now or in your estate plan! Please call to discuss the type of property and getting an appraisal.

NMPBS operates as a non-profit corporation under the University of New Mexico Foundation, Inc., in accordance with the laws of the State of New Mexico located at Albuquerque, New Mexico. Please use tax identification number 85-0275408 when you direct your gift to NMPBS.

And don’t forget to request that your name is included with any of these gifts so we may thank you!
