Trujillo, Emily

“Emily is Irvin and Lisa Trujillo’s only daughter and the eighth-generation of the Trujillo family weavers. She uses traditional styles and techniques, along with her own ideas, to create traditional, modern, and contemporary designs. Emily spent her entire life watching and learning from the generations before her and is honored for the opportunity to follow in her parents’ and all previous generations’ footsteps. She is passionate about passing on the tradition in it’s entirety to current and future generations alike, so she teaches regular classes and gives private lessons on top of her weaving and helping run Centinela Traditional Arts.” – Chimayo Weavers
