“Holly Roberts (b. 1951, Colorado) is a contemporary artist known for her collages combining photographs and paint. Inspired by her lifelong experience living in the Southwest, her compositions often incorporate the colors, wildlife, vegetation, and myths of desert and mountain landscapes.

Roberts earned a BFA from the University of New Mexico and an MFA from Arizona State University, Tempe. Her work is nationally and internationally exhibited and has been published in four monographs. The artist has been honored with the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship twice, and is collected by institutions nationwide, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Bayly Museum of Art (Charlottesville). A dedicated teacher as well as a prolific artist, she has had a profound effect on a community of artists around the country. She continues to live and work in the Southwest. – Form & Concept
