In Tribute of Mike Snyder

Our dear friend and colleague Mike Snyder passed away on April 26, 2025. As Manager of Studio Engineering and a key coordinator for the statewide Emergency Alerting System, Mike served New Mexico PBS and New Mexico’s broadcasting community for fifteen years. Mike waged a public battle against Chondrosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, for decades. His inspirational fight documented in his book, No Treatment Options Left, inspired us all with his insistence on beating the odds.

Mike's wife Sarah, daughter Stephanie, and son Nick were his greatest joys and his inspiration.

His friend and colleague, Jeff Kramer, produced this short remembrance of Mike that more clearly illustrates his strength of character than our words can.
