Position Summary

Under close supervision assists in writing and posting engaging social media promotional content for New Mexico PBS, KNME-TV as well as fliers, e-blasts, advertising, and other materials in both print and via social media. In addition, this position will assist in the coordination of special events, and other general marketing activities.

Technical maintenance of New Mexico PBS video and YouTube clips, including thumbnail selection and tagging. Updating of materials for the website, including but not limited to archive links, video clip reclassification and retrieval/upload of photos and descriptions for blog content. Must communicate professionally with KNME staff in the areas of Production and Marketing over the phone, e-mail, and in person. 10-12 hours weekly.

Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge: Good entry level technical/web/social media skills. Must exhibit strong
organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to write and edit social media related content for New Mexico PBS web pages and social media sites.
• Experience in using Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
• Experience in Adobe photo shop, Hoot Suite, Tweet deck, in-design and after effects.
• Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment.
