Maria Sokolova
“My name is Maria Sokolova and I am a senior at Eldorado High School. I am looking for applying to college out of state to study Film and Television Production with a double major in International Relations or European History. In the future, I would love to pursue a career in the film industry as a storyboard artist. While I’m not entirely sure where my life will take me, I know I want to do something that allows me to explore the world and write stories for a wide audience. In my spare time I love to draw, read, and write, finding inspiration in swashbuckling adventures like “The Count of Monte Cristo” and “Zorro.” I have been so happy to join the NMPBS creative team! I’ve met so many new people and have learned so much about production. I couldn’t have asked for a better internship and I know that what I’ve learned here at NMPBS will stay with me throughout the course of my career.”
