Reporter Joey Peters Discusses Coverage of APS Scandal

September 4, 2015 – APS superintendent Luis Valentino resigned on Monday after weeks of controversy in his new administration.

The Line opinion panel reacted to the many different angles of the scandal last week. Former deputy superintendent Jason Martinez, who was hand-picked by Dr. Valentino never completed a background check during his employment with APS. We also now know that Martinez is facing felony charges related to inappropriate contact with two children under the age of thirteen.

Joey Peters, senior reporter for NM Political Report, broke the story about the charges against Jason Martinez. He sits down this week with producer Sarah Gustavus.
