Many New Mexicans have been asked if they need a passport to travel outside of the state. We know how to make fun of the fact that the state isn’t always labeled correctly in national media outlets. The New York Times Magazine recently ran artwork on the cover that mislabeled New Mexico as “Mexico.” Do we care?
