The Line: UNM Joins Team Seeking To Manage Sandia National Laboratories

May 27, 2016 – The University of New Mexico announced Tuesday that it is part of a bid for joint management of Sandia National Labs. “UNM is a member of the team led by Battelle and The Boeing Company, along with the Texas A&M University System and the University of Texas System,” said university officials in a statement.

Lockheed Martin currently manages Sandia. The Albuquerque Journal reported earlier this month that the contract is a “lucrative deal.”
