The Line: UNM Football Coach Faces Suspension

February 16, 2018 – University of New Mexico football coach Bob Davie faces a 30-day suspension without pay over numerous allegations, ranging from using racial slurs to the cover-up of a rape and other crimes. Although a law firm hired by UNM found no specific evidence to back allegations, UNM president Chaouki Abdallah said the suspension is based on his determination that Davie had violated some university policies. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss the allegations and punishment.
