The Line: Topgolf Seeks $2.6 Million In City Incentives To Open In Albuquerque

June 8, 2018 – Topgolf is an international chain of sports bar-type theme parks built around golf. The company says it needs $2.6 million in incentives to build in Albuquerque, and there are supporters on the city council. But details – such as adding possible clawbacks to the deal – still need to be worked out before the final vote on June 18, and some on the council are urging caution.  Gene Grant and the Line panelists debate the merits and pitfalls of such incentive packages.
