The Line: Soda Tax Headed To A Vote In Santa Fe

March 31, 2017 – A proposal to create a tax on soda sales will go to the voters of Santa Fe in a special election in May. The Santa Fe Reporter recently looked at how groups for and against the tax are spending money on outreach efforts: Fizzy Math. If the measure passes, the funds collected on the tax would go to support early childhood education. This week host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists debate the pros and cons of this proposed soda tax.
