The Line: Santa Fe’s Scathing Audit

June 29, 2018 – The recently released audit of the city of Santa Fe’s finances “paints a grim portrait,” according to the Santa Fe New Mexican. Matt Grubs of the Santa Fe Reporter called the audit “blistering” and “abysmal.” Submitted more than five months late, the audit for the year ending June 30, 2017, pointed out many instances of substandard financial practices. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss the audit findings and look at steps Mayor Alan Webber might take to improve Santa Fe’s financial management.
