The Line: Racism Charge Over Failed Legislative Proposal

March 16, 2018 – Legislators again failed to pass a proposal to expand early childhood education using money from the Land Grant Permanent Fund, and took issue when Allen Sánchez, executive director of the New Mexico Conference of Bishops, called the action racist. Line Panelists:
Sophie Martin, attorney
Laura Sanchez-Rivét, attorney at Cuddy and McCarthy, LLP
H. Diane Snyder, former state senator
Harry Van Buren, professor in UNM Anderson School of Management
