The Line: Proposal To Increase Public Financing For Albuquerque Mayor’s Race

June 3, 2016 – The Albuquerque City Council will consider boosting public financing for the mayoral races in the city ahead of the 2017 race.

“Each candidate would get $1.75 per registered voter in Albuquerque rather than just $1,” according to the Albuquerque Journal.  This .75-cent increase would boost public financing for the mayoral race from $362,000 to $630,000 per candidate.

What do you think about the proposal to increase public financing in the Albuquerque mayoral race?
