The Line: PNM to Be Carbon Free by 2040

April 26, 2019 – Public Service Company of New Mexico celebrated Earth Day this week by announcing all of the utility’s electric generation will be carbon-free by the year 2040. That’s a full five years earlier than the state’s new Energy Transition Act requires. Host Gene Grant and The Line opinion panelists discuss what made the new timeline possible, and what impact it will have on the state’s economy, residents’ pocketbooks, and the environment.

Line Panelists:
Adrian Carver, Executive Director, Equality New Mexico
Dan Foley, NM House Republican Whip
Stephanie Maez, Executive Director, ProgressNow New Mexico
Kristelle Siarza, CEO, Siarza Social Digital
