The Line: New Test, Familiar Results for New Mexico Students

August 2, 2019 – In New Mexico, only about one third of public school students can read at grade level and about one fifth are proficient in math.  We’re coming out of eight years of Republican policies and, before that, eight years of Democratic policies. Current Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham outlined a “moonshot” of education goals, but when will we begin to see positive results?   Gene Grant and The Line panelists debate ways to improve student performance.
