The Line: New Mexico’s Contested Congressional Races: CD 2

May 11, 2018 – There’s always a lot of activity and excitement when a popular incumbent vacates a congressional seat, according to Brian Sanderoff, president of Research & Polling Inc. That is certainly the case in southern New Mexico’s Congressional District 2, where four Republicans and two Democrats are vying for their party’s nomination in the race to win the seat Representative Steve Pearce is giving up to run for Governor. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists look at the candidates and the issues important in that race.
