The Line: New Mexico Joins Lawsuit Over Emergency Declaration

February 22, 2019 – Earlier this week, New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas announced a decision to join a multi-state effort to sue the Trump administration over the border emergency declaration. This comes at the same time that Senate Republicans all sent a letter to Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham asking her to call a meeting of border governors to develop a plan for border security and build consensus.
