The Line: NAFTA and Trump


January 13, 2017 – The future of the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, is unclear as president-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office.

The Santa Fe New Mexican’s Bruce Krasnow examined this week what might happen to a New Mexico border crossing that has seen increased economic activity since NAFTA became law.

            “Since 2007, exports to Mexico have risen 65 percent from Texas, 46 percent from California, 75 percent from Arizona and 350 percent from New Mexico” – the Santa Fe New Mexican
