August 10, 2018 – Journalist Heath Haussamen filed a lawsuit this week seeking documents from the N.M. Spaceport Authority. Haussamen wrote a series of stories on the Spaceport last year. Spaceport officials have claimed that releasing records, such as lease agreements, would mean divulging trade secrets. But the Attorney General’s office found in July that the organization is violating the state Inspection of Public Records Act.
Host Gene Grant and this week’s Line opinion panelists discuss the lack of transparency at the Spaceport and why it matters for New Mexicans.
