The Line: Lawsuit Alleges New Mexico’s Foster Care System is “Broken”

September 28, 2018 – A new lawsuit alleges New Mexico’s foster care system is “broken.” The potential class action suit was filed by 13 children and two nonprofits, and alleges, among other things, a lack of an appropriate number of foster parents, training and resources for those families, and inadequate medical treatment for children placed in the system.
