The Line: Interior Secretary Zinke’s National Monuments Recommendation Letter Leaked

September 22, 2017 – This week, a letter leaked with U.S. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s recommendations for the future of several national monuments, including two here in New Mexico. Those recommendations did not include shrinking the size of the Organ Mountains-Desert Peak or Rio Grande del Norte National Monuments, as some had feared.  But there were suggestions about how to manage the lands, and what kind of use should happen there.  Host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists react to the developments, and whether or not they think the President will actually follow through on any of the recommendations.
