The Line: Increased Oversight For UNM Athletics

July 14, 2017 – Local journalists are digging into the records from the University of New Mexico related to suite deals in recent years. The Lobo Club, the fundraising arm of the UNM athletic department, had not collected about 432 million dollars in payments. Records requests from journalists played a key role in bringing the issue to light. UNM interim president Chaouki Abdallah has increased financial oversight of the department.
