The Line: Grading New Mexico Teacher Prep Programs

December 14, 2018 – There has been a lot of attention in recent years about the state’s teacher evaluation system. And, Governor-Elect Michelle Lujan Grisham has already promised to get rid of the current process. But it’s not just the teacher evaluations that are controversial. New Mexico’s Department of Education has also instituted a grading system for teacher training programs at the state’s colleges. Host Gene Grant and the Line panelists discuss the latest results and how the system might be changed or adapted moving forward.
