The Line: Faculty Salaries At UNM Trail Behind U.S. Averages

October 5, 2018 – A new study shows that faculty salaries at the University of New Mexico rank among the lowest in the nation. The lower pay makes it hard to recruit and keep the best professors. When faculty members leave, often so does millions in sponsored research dollars.  Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists debate creative ways to make UNM a more competitive institution for current and future faculty.
