The Line: Community Reactions To Potential Athletics Cuts

April 21, 2017 – Schools and universities across New Mexico are facing tough budget decisions this year. Officials with the Santa Fe Public Schools are considering shutting down two elementary schools.

The future of sports and athletics is on the mind of some students and parents. UNM recently announced that the ski team will be dropped and Albuquerque Public Schools may end financial support for competitive athletics in middle schools.
