The Line: Better Management for New Mexico’s Higher Ed System

August 4, 2017 – The Line panel has been looking at New Mexico’s higher education system, and two weeks ago addressed the question of whether our state has too many public institutions of higher learning to be sustainable.  The problem, however, may not be in the amount of schools, but in the way the system is managed. New Mexico’s Higher Education Department is conducting a study to look at the way the state is running its 31 public colleges and universities – and the Line opinion panel looks at that plan.

Line Panelists:
Dan Boyd, capitol bureau chief for the Albuquerque Journal
Dan Foley, former House minority whip
Sophie Martin, attorney and editor of DukeCityFix.com
Stephen Spitz, host of New Mexico People Places and Ideas on KUNM
