The Line: APD Chief Gorden Eden Announces Retirement

November 10, 2017 – Albuquerque police Chief Gorden Eden announced last weekend that he will retire on Dec. 1. During his time as the head of APD, the U.S. Department of Justice signed a consent decree with the city to address excessive use of force by officers in the department. The future of the police chief was a key issue in this year’s mayoral race. This week host Gene Grant and NMiF Line opinion panelists discuss the legacy of Chief Eden and future of APD.
