The Line: ABQ Mayor Race

January 13, 2017 – There are now several candidates officially vying for the mayor’s seat in New Mexico’s largest city.

Current mayoral candidates include: city councilor Dan Lewis (R), retired APD officer Michelle Garcia Holmes (I), Albuquerque resident Stella Padilla (D), state auditor Tim Keller (D) and former Bernalillo County commissioner Deanna Archuleta (D).

According to various local media reports, there are other candidates that could possibly throw their names into the race in the future. Those include retired APD chief public safety officer Pete Dinelli, city councilor Ken Sanchez and former DNC chair Brian Colon.
