August 23, 2019 – Two interesting announcements about New Mexico’s flagship university came in the news this week. A grand jury indicted former UNM Athletic Director Paul Krebs on seven felony counts in connection with a 2015 golf trip to Scotland, paid for in part with public money. And an article in the Daily Lobo announced the return of men’s soccer and men’s and women’s ski teams to UNM – but only as club sports. Gene Grant and The Line opinion panel tackle both issues concerning athletics at UNM.
