The Line: “Glitches” Erroneously End Medicaid For Some Children

February 9, 2018 – A “glitch” in the state’s new computer system accidently booted some foster and adoptive children out of the Medicaid system. The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department and the Human Services Department has said any medical costs incurred before the children get reinstated will be reimbursed. But what about those families who can’t afford to cover upfront costs? Gene Grant and the Line give their opinions on how the matter was handled, and what should be done to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

The Line: Federal Monitor For Some HSD Programs
