NMiF: Big Healthy Life

October 20, 2017 - Local filmmaker Chris Schueler’s new documentary “Big Healthy Life” continues with a look at the importance of exercise and family and community support in the fight against childhood obesity. New Mexico has one of the highest rates in the country, and local experts are doing all they can do stem the tide.  “Big Healthy Life” looks at some of the obstacles to staying active, and offers tips and advice on how to overcome them. The film also features several unique programs already operating in the community and making a big difference for our youth.

Patty Keane is a registered dietician, and was also featured in the documentary “Big Healthy Life.” Keane talks more about food insecurity in New Mexico, and how to overcome barriers to good nutrition regardless of where you live.
