December 20, 2019 – The day before recording this segment of The Line, there were two more accidents involving Albuquerque Rapid Transit buses and other vehicles, bringing the number up to ten. Gene Grant and this week’s opinion panelists debate what can be done to stop Albuquerque drivers from getting into crashes with the up-and-running ART buses.

The Line: ART Grounded For Year And A Half

November 16, 2018 –Mayor Tim Keller’s decision this week to cut ties with electric bus manufacturer Build Your Dreams and pursue alternatives for the Albuquerque Rapid Transit project means at least another 18 months before the bus service will be up and running. The electric buses, said Mayor Keller, had serious safety problems, including electrical issues and trouble with the brakes. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss this decision, and the city’s projected move to non-electric buses.
