November 16, 2018 –Mayor Tim Keller’s decision this week to cut ties with electric bus manufacturer Build Your Dreams and pursue alternatives for the Albuquerque Rapid Transit project means at least another 18 months before the bus service will be up and running. The electric buses, said Mayor Keller, had serious safety problems, including electrical issues and trouble with the brakes. Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss this decision, and the city’s projected move to non-electric buses.

September 7, 2018 – When Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller took office in December of last year, there were some big issues that needed to be resolved.
The rollout of the Albuquerque Rapid Transit project had not gone as planned in 2017. The city is still waiting for buses for the route. And many residents still want to see changes in the Albuquerque Police Department, as required by a consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice. Mayor Keller and his team have made announcements this year about a range of initiatives related to crime, economic development and community building.
Host Gene Grant sits down with the mayor this week to discuss how things are going and plans for the future.
