May 21, 2021 – US Sen. Ben Ray Luján is the new freshman senator from New Mexico – and the first Hispanic senator from the state in a generation. He comes from a political family and spent a decade in the U.S House of Representatives before abandoning a leadership post for his Senate run. Sen. Luján spoke with NMiF correspondent Russell Contreras about his first months in the new body and some of his priorities in his new term.
