Protecting Chaco requires a commitment from ‘all levels’

12.23.22 – For more than a decade, a coalition of Indigenous and environmental groups, along with some archaeologists, have called for the federal government to protect the Greater Chacoan Landscape from increased oil and gas drilling. Our Land Senior Producer Laura Paskus speaks with Theresa Pasqual, with the Pueblo of Acoma about the cultural significance of Chaco Canyon, and the ongoing effort to stop new extraction projects from starting in the area.
