On the Environment: Sofia Jenkins-Nieto
December 31, 2021 –Sofia Jenkins-Nieto is an undergraduate student at the University of New Mexico. She’s also director of operations with UNM LEAF, or Leaders for Environmental Action and Foresight. In this essay, she explains why climate action is so urgent for her generation. Earlier this year, Our Land covered LEAF’s protest urging the UNM Foundation to divest from fossil fuels.
