New Mexico Faces Backlog of Wage Theft Complaints | The Line

January 31, 2020 – New Mexico is dealing with a backlog of about 1,900 complaints of wage theft linked to enforcement of the state’s minimum wage law. That backlog accumulated before New Mexico’s minimum wage went from $7.50 to $9.00 an hour on the first of this year. Gene Grant and The Line panelists give their views on the best ways to deal with the current backlog and enforce the law.
