Native Communities Strive For A Healthy Lifestyle Amid COVID-19

June 12, 2020 – Gyms have reopened, the weather has warmed, but finding ways to burn off energy or even anxiety isn’t easy. And, we’re all still urged to keep our distance from each other. As we’ve reported on NMiF, that’s a challenge in New Mexico pueblos and Native reservations, as many people are still under strict stay-at-home orders. This week, correspondent Antonia Gonzales is in touch with some health advocates from the Native American Community who shared support online to encourage their friends, families and community members to get off the couch and work out.
