The Line: WisePies Out, Competitive Sports Safe

May 5, 2017 –  WisePies has been asked by the University of New Mexico to give up its naming rights to the what was formerly University Arena, aka “The Pit.” Dreamstyle Remodeling is gifting UNM with $10 million over 10 years, twice the amount WisePies Pizza & Salad pledged. The basketball facility will be renamed Dreamstyle Arena, and the football facility will be called Dreamstyle Stadium.

The Line panelists also debate the news around middle school athletics in Albuquerque.  After receiving a lot of criticism when they said they might cut competitive sports programs in middle schools, APS officials announced they will now look at other ways to save money.
