Legislative Session Reaches Midway Point
Wednesday, February 5th, 2020 marks the halfway mark in the 2020 Legislative Session. Khalil Ekulona sits down with New Mexico PBS Executive Producer Kevin McDonald to talk about what has happened so far, including discussions today in the House on the budget, and another committee hearing regarding the Extreme Risk Firearm Protection Order Act, or “Red Flag” Law. The two also discuss what’s still in store during the last days of the 30-day session, including the Governor’s College Opportunity Scholarship and the Cannabis Legalization Bill.
