Reaction to Dallas police shooting, Local reactions to recent shooting deaths, The Line

This week on New Mexico in Focus, correspondent Gwyneth Doland sits down with current and former law enforcement officers to discuss local reactions to the deadly shooting of several Dallas police officers last week during a peaceful protest. Producer Sarah Gustavus speaks with two local attorneys about what they see in the justice system in New Mexico and how they speak with their children about interacting with the police.

District Judge Brett Loveless ruled that former Sen. Phil Griego will stand trial on public corruption charges. Host Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists also discuss that ruling and also look at updates to the ballot initiative to require paid sick leave for workers in Albuquerque. They also voice their opinion on the recent shootings and their local impact.
