Ethyl the Recycled Plastic Blue Whale

April  26, 2019 –  New Mexico in Focus takes to the field for an unveiling that connects the high desert to the world’s oceans. On Earth Day, NMiF photojournalist Robert McDermott traveled to Santa Fe, where a landlocked blue whale made out of recycled plastic highlights the toll humans are exacting on the planet’s oceans.
