October 18, 2019 – Despite offers by the Bernalillo County Commission of more than $1million in financial support, Sheriff Manny Gonzales is still refusing to outfit his deputies with body cameras. While police-reform advocates say they’re important accountability tools, Sheriff Gonzales says body cams would be used to unfairly criticize deputies.
