Dealing With COVID-19 in New Mexico | The Line

March 13, 2020 – Gene Grant and The Line opinion panel look at the impact of COVID-19, the disease caused by a new coronavirus. New Mexico reported its first cases of COVID-19 this week, and reactions have been swift. Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham held a news conference declaring a public health emergency; Health Secretary Kathyleen Kunkel banned gatherings of more than 100 people; and late Thursday, the state ordered K-12 public schools to close through early April. The Line looks at efforts to prevent the spread of the virus and the disease’s impacts on the community and the economy.
