Churches Fined for No Masks, Overcrowding
January 8, 2021 – Gene Grant and The Line opinion panelists debate state-imposed fines on Legacy and Calvary megachurches for packing their Christmas services beyond capacity limits and not enforcing mask mandates. Both churches have been fined $10,000 each – $5,000 for violating the public health order prohibiting mass gatherings, and $5,000 for failure to enforce wearing masks. The Line looks at the message being sent to members by the leaders of both churches, and also at the messaging by the Governor’s administration.
