Changes Made to Paid Family Medical Leave Bill

3.14.25 – A bill that would mandate paid family and medical leave narrowly passed the House last week and now heads to the Senate Finance Committee. Gwyneth speaks to Tracy McDaniel of the Southwest Women’s Law Center about why she has advocated for this proposal for years — and why she’s pushing back against concerns that it could make hiring in New Mexico more difficult.
