The Line: Bail Bond Reform Fallout

NMiF: Bail bond reform

November 3, 2017 – It’s only been since June that the new court rules created by New Mexico’s judiciary went into effect, but there is already a call from Governor Martinez and others to “repeal and replace.” Those rules followed an amendment to the state’s constitution, approved by the voters last year, that reshaped the state’s old bail bond system. Line Panelists:
Tom Garrity, the Garrity Group PR
Viki Harrison, Common Cause New Mexico
Serge Martinez, professor, UNM School of Law
Diane Snyder, Former State Senator
