The Line: Judge Rules Santa Fe Must Use Ranked-Choice Voting

NMiF: ranked choice voting

December 1, 2017 – Ranked-choice voting, also called “instant runoff” voting, was overwhelmingly approved by citizens of Santa Fe in 2008, but has yet to be instituted.  But now that the proper technology has been acquired, a judge has ruled that it must be used for the March 2018 elections.
